Formal Commissions
(Open)

In a formal commission, I'll be creating a production that you specify, and it will usually be much more involved and detailed than an informal commission. Formal commissions usually (though not necessarily) imply a business venture of some kind, so all the legal details need to be ironed out before work can begin. Also, because formal commissions are more involved than informal ones, the prices are higher, and can change dramatically based on how much work is being done by me, and how much is being shouldered by the client. Because of the number of unknown factors involved, all-purpose time estimates are simply not practical, so once the terms of the deal have been worked out, I'll then give you an estimate on how long it will take. Here are the rates:

Single Page Comics
(Available in comic strip or comic page format, in manga or domestic dimensions)
~$20.00 (B&W, lineart only)
~$30.00 (B&W, shaded, with backgrounds)
~$50.00 (Color, shaded, with backgrounds)

Multiple-Page One-Shot Comics
(A standard 24 to 30 page issue of a comic book)
(Available in comic strip or comic page format, in manga or domestic dimensions)
~$400-$500 (B&W, lineart only)
~$600-$700 (B&W, shaded, with backgrounds)
$1,000+ (Color, shaded, with backgrounds)

Serialized Comics
(Available in comic strip or comic page format, in manga or domestic dimensions)
Too many unknowns for an effective price estimate. Email me with your proposal.

Logos & Graphics
(From company logos to casual stuff like t-shirt graphics)
~$20.00-$50.00

Stories
(For placeholder cover art, add $25.00)
$50.00 (Flash fiction, up to 1,000 words)
$500.00 (Short story, up to 10,000 words)

Note that the comics and stories are digital products only. If you want them printed, it will cost more, and will take longer.

To order a commission, email me at PaparazziPulse (AT) gmail (DOT) com and include “formal commission” somewhere in the subject. Explain to me what it is you'd like to see done, I'll tell you whether or not it's doable, and we'll go from there.

My preferred payment method is PayPal, sent to PaparazziPulse (AT) gmail (DOT) com. Checks or money orders made out to Anthony Koro are allowable, but are a hassle and will significantly delay the progress of your commission. If you need my home address, shoot me an email asking for it.

Be forewarned that I'm much less lenient toward a formal commission than I am toward an informal one. If an informal commission is fishy, strange, or on shaky ground, I'll probably accept it anyway because there's little risk involved for me. Such is not the case with a formal commission. If I'm not convinced that you are reputable, solvent or being completely honest with me, then I'll reject the commission. So be sure that you know what you're doing before you start talking with me, and if you have a business venture, make sure you're keeping up your end of the deal.

In most cases, as with informal commissions, payment must be received before I begin drawing anything, but I'm aware that this isn't practical for a an extended project like a serialized comic. So let's say that if a project is agreed upon, a certain amount of capital must be paid in advance before I'll begin working. I will never accept a commission unless some part of it is paid in advance.

Thanks for your interest! If you're ready to place an order, or if you have any additional questions, feel free to email me at the following address:
